Dinesh D'Souza: Obama Only Indicted Me Because My Film 'Deeply Upset Him'

Conservative filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza made his first television appearance since being pardoned by President Trump. Laura Ingraham began the interview by laughing at the “firestorm of freakouts” from the left.

“The left has freaked out more about my pardon than maybe any other,” D’Souza responded. ” I was watching something on CNN… and they were saying how ‘dangerous’ it is that I got this pardon. And I was thinking about that and it occurred to me that- I think I know what they’re getting at. It’s dangerous to them. It’s dangerous to their ideology.”

D’Souza reacted to CNN analyst John Avlon, who dismissed the filmmaker as a “Twitter troll” who “appeals to the worst instincts” by boasting his exposing of the “racist history of the Democratic Party” and exposing “a lot” about President Obama.

“Look, Obama would not have indicted me if I didn’t make a film that deeply upset him,” D’Souza continued. “I didn’t just go against his ideology, I kind of got into his head. And sometimes when I speak on campus, people go, ‘Well gee, Dinesh, what makes you think Obama saw your dumb movie or even cares about anything you have to say?’ The reason I think that is because he was attacking me on his personal website barackobama.com. So there you go. This is a narcissistic president who believe in the vendetta and recruited goons like Eric Holder and Preet Bharara to then carry his water for him, to go after me.”

7. Here's what it seems most people miss about his Obama movie. He tried to frighten

the half-wits by accusing Obama of pursuing his fathers "anti-colonial" agenda. Really? And that's supposed to be bad? Look you freakin' morans, do you realize what country Obama was President of? Let me help ya. The country probably most noted for throwing the colonial power out on it's ass!

Half the premise of his book and movie was absolute nonsense. We're supposed to be anti-colonial, opposed to other countries doing it and prohibited from doing it ourselves. Maybe some of the political commentators tore that apart and I missed it? It sure seemed obvious to me.

Kind of a good example of what the white wingers will fall for. If those bastards were back in colonial times, they would all be British loyalists. Until the war got to them and they were scared into jumping ship to the rebels anyway.

The Trump playbook? Nope. D'Sousa (and bags and bags of other conservatives) has been doing this since he was a college kid at Dartmouth. Writing for the Dartmouth Review, one of a number of National Review-related publications to act as a conservative pundit/writer farm team.

He's been this way his whole career, as have others once hailed as "the new young conservatives" like Laura Ingraham and Ann Coulter.

Always remember that self-proclaimed NeverTrumpers have spent decades using the same tactics as Trump and tirelessly building a voter base that he is now drag-racing on. They're only pissed because they built it for them to drag-race on.
