This is so maddening that I can barely type...

Israeli forces killed a Palestinian nurse on Friday as she tried to help a wounded protester at the Gaza border, according to health officials and a witness, while Israel said militants had attacked its troops with gunfire and a grenade.

Razan Al-Najar’s death brought to 119 the number of Palestinians killed in weekly demonstrations launched on March 30 in the Gaza Strip, an enclave controlled by the Islamist group Hamas and long subject to grinding Israeli and Egyptian embargoes.

Najar, a 21-year-old volunteer medic, was shot as she ran toward the fortified border fence, east of the south Gaza city of Khan Younis, in a bid to reach a casualty, a witness said.

Wearing a white uniform, “she raised her hands high in a clear way, but Israeli soldiers fired and she was hit in the chest,” the witness, who requested anonymity, told Reuters.

At her house in Khan Younis, Najar’s mother collapsed in grief as she was handed her daughter’s blood-stained uniform.

BTW, "There have been no Israeli casualties during the border confrontations, but Israel has reported extensive damage to farmland"

and it has been going on for over 70 years. Every time someone makes a "poor Israel" statement, history hits my heart. It is a horrible situation that just goes on and on.

There is no question who will be judged by history to be the unqualified aggressor in this conflict.

be scrupulous about attributions - especially when it's in regard to as fraught a situation as the Israel/Palestinian conflict.

VERY powerful Israeli lobby/PAC things that simply take out legislators who don't properly support Netanyahu's Israel. AIPAC seems to ring a bell.

……are hideous vermin. They knew just what they were unleashing with moving the US embassy.

By the time they're done, there will be an expanded war in the Middle East. Again. They want to take out Iran. Trump needs to be a "War President" to distract.

Turkey, Philippines, North Korea ----------- the US Government is really keeping some good company these days.

Meanwhile, Trump is trolling for votes by trying to hurt the economies in Canada, Mexico, China, the EU.

But at this point can't we just buy the damn siani peninsula from Egypt and gift it to the Palestinians to live on and call their own?
Something.
ANYTHING, to stop this ridiculous insane killing.

But I suppose since our own fucking worthless god-emperor of an installed pResident doesn't give a shit, what does our opinion count?

The entire planet lives in a constant state of outrage. Murder, mayhem, and madness (by our own government) are now and as long as Trump holds office the central policy of the United States. Apparently we do not even count the dead of our citizens killed in a Hurricane and no longer blink at massacres of school children. I do understand how you feel.

Israel has been murdering people literally since before it was a state.

It has been flouting international law its entire existence as well.

And its biggest co-conspirator has always been the US. When you see Israel murder yet another innocent person, remember they can only do that with the US' protection.

Like Saudi Arabia bombimb multiple pedeatric hospitals in Yemen, Israel couldn't do this without its biggest benefactors: the United States.

And sure, even after Israel deliberately murdered US Navy men, the US hardly made a peep.

Bombing a UN outpost - TWICE - the US protected them from the UN.

And on and on.

Thousands of dead women and children, endless stolen property, and... The darling of both political parties in the US.

On in the US does the 'left' support Israel. It's pathetic.
