Jared Kushner's Father Rips Ethics Watchdogs As 'Jerks' Who Can't Get A 'Real Job'

Jared Kushner’s Father Rips Ethics Watchdogs As ‘Jerks’ Who Can’t Get A ‘Real Job’
“All they want to do is assure that poor, not successful people go into government.”

Jared Kushner’s father, real estate magnate Charles Kushner, slammed federal ethics watchdogs who have been hounding him and his son, calling them “jerks” who can’t get a “real job.”

He also insisted the watchdogs keep “rich, smart, successful people” out of government jobs.

“All they want to do is assure that poor, not successful people go into government,” Charles Kushner told The Real Deal in an interview published Friday. “Because if you’re successful, you shouldn’t be penalized by stupid ethics watchdogs raising things that are potential.”

He went on to complain about attacks and the “barrage of negative media” against his son, despite the “sacrifice” Jared Kushner has made as a public servant.

“I look at what my kids have sacrificed to go into government, with the only intent of doing good for this country and for the world, and to help people,” he said, apparently referring to Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, according to the Real Deal. “They sacrificed a lot.”

being an unethical grifter means you are clever and successful.

That is why they whine and bitch about "big government". Their "smaller gov't" allows them con, steal, exploit, use, lie, defraud and extort.

Oh do tell, what have we the peon American people, gained from your princely son's "sacrifices"? Opioid crisis solved? VA working smoothly? Mexican relations resolved? Middle East Peace?

Thanks for all the sacrifice, a-hole.

The Story Behind Jared Kushner’s Curious Acceptance into Harvard
ProPublica editor Daniel Golden wrote a book a decade ago about how the rich buy their children access to elite colleges. One student he covered is now poised to become one of the most powerful figures in the country.

My book exposed a grubby secret of American higher education: that the rich buy their under-achieving children’s way into elite universities with massive, tax-deductible donations. It reported that New Jersey real estate developer Charles Kushner had pledged $2.5 million to Harvard University in 1998, not long before his son Jared was admitted to the prestigious Ivy League school. At the time, Harvard accepted about one of every nine applicants. (Nowadays, it only takes one out of twenty.)

I also quoted administrators at Jared’s high school, who described him as a less than stellar student and expressed dismay at Harvard’s decision.

“There was no way anybody in the administrative office of the school thought he would on the merits get into Harvard,” a former official at The Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, told me. “His GPA did not warrant it, his SAT scores did not warrant it. We thought for sure, there was no way this was going to happen. Then, lo and behold, Jared was accepted. It was a little bit disappointing because there were at the time other kids we thought should really get in on the merits, and they did not.”

( I had other words in mind to describe him, but figured I risked having my comment deleted. )

None of this grotesque family has even a glimmer of a notion of the concept of integrity, ethics, conscience, or good government.

As the article notes, Kushner Sr. has of course had his own well-deserved problems with the law.

The sense of entitlement and inflated, deluded self-regard is just breathtaking.

Stealing food to feed your family, or becoming addicted to street drugs because you can't afford health insurance (to pay for socially acceptable addictive drugs), is on a whole different level than already having more than enough, and being so greedy and disgusting that you'd screw over someone less fortunate.

Going to jail for not paying a traffic fine should not happen. Going to jail for insider trading, or taking bribes, and things like that, SHOULD happen.

Why is this ex-con getting any attention aside from that of the feds making sure he remains on the straight and narrow. It's only illegal if they catch you and this punk got caught. I'm betting his mouth breathing son and that feckless... creature he married will end up getting caught too.

Jared's dad has the PERFECT qualifications to opine on ethics in the Trump era.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Kushner

...The witness-tampering charge arose from Kushner's act of retaliation against William Schulder, his sister Esther's husband, who was cooperating with federal investigators; Kushner hired a prostitute to seduce his brother-in-law, arranged to record an encounter between the two, and had the tape sent to his sister. Kushner was sentenced to two years in prison, and served 14 months at Federal Prison Camp, Montgomery in Alabama, before being sent to a halfway house in Newark, New Jersey, to complete his sentence. He was released from prison on August 25, 2006.

As a result of his convictions, Kushner was disbarred, prohibited from practicing law in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
