(82,849 posts)So many folks would like peace, but war is so gosh darn profitable for some people, there's no way we can end it. Oh, and think of the jobs. The jobs, people! Do you truly hate jobs so much that you'd call for an end to war? You monsters! War brings us so many good things. Well, granted, not for the folks who get killed or maimed or have their homes blown to bits or have their land contaminated for generations by deplete uranium ordnance or . . . Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
