(7,725 posts)for endangering the medics on scene ALONE is going to hurt. If he thinks he's mad now...omg.Can you imagine what is going to cross his mind when his eyes flutter open tomorrow in the morning?

(21,139 posts)Recently I was on the road in crowed traffic not in the fast lane but the one over. Going about 10 miles over the speed limit. This guy was tailgating me in a big truck, he finally got an opening and moved over speeding way over the limit. I could hear Michael Savage on his radio. He weaved in and out almost causing an accident people were branding because he cut them off. The traffic was thick. I ended up passing him later down the road and he was boxed in by slower drivers!!! I had a good laugh passing him in the slower lane to the right.

(6,930 posts)He is speeding way over the limit. And you could not only hear his radio as he sped by over the limit, but even identify the radio show?
I would not know Michael Savage if I heard him on my own radio. Fascinating story.

(21,139 posts)Melody and it was very loud. I heard it also when he was behind me. He was that close.

(6,930 posts)Guess both of you had your windows open. You did say he was WAY over the speed limit, so I admire your hearing ability.
At any rate, you have no way of knowing what this particular idiot was listening to, do you?

(3,022 posts)he tested positive for narcotics. He may not have any of those driving legally things to lose, he is probably not a very good target for a lawsuit, and the chance that he has spent time in jail within the past 90 days is a number approaching zero.

(16,199 posts)That's excellent police work in taking into custody a very uncooperative suspect.

(31,261 posts)Unfortunately, we still have dramatically different outcomes in terms of how angry or unbalanced suspects are treated.

(30,540 posts)as traffic gets worse and the roads continue to deteriorate while greedy developers build more and gridlock gets worse all the time. There's lots of anger when a ten minute drive somewhere has turned into a 30 - 45 minute one. I'm not excusing the guy there's no excuse. Realistically I expect this kind of thing to get worse unless things change which is doubtful.

(3,022 posts)I suspect that Jose Fausto Garcia Alvarez was unafraid more based on the narcotics he tested positive for than on his sense of white privilege. Here in Sacramento our police have been much more circumspect since the shooting of Stephon Clark. I hope this new found sensitivity holds.

(31,261 posts)But I think that the outcome depends on the department's Chief and the policies that person enforces. My guess, in some places, him being a Black person instead of White? 70-30 that he got shot dead.
