VA-10: Democrats Battle To Face Comstock in 'Up For Grabs' Primary
The battle to take on Republican incumbent Barbara Comstock this fall has sparked a competitive fight among the Democrats running in Virginias 10th District.
Three of the six candidates in the race have already run TV campaign ads, and a fourth is poised to do so no small feat in the expensive Washington, D.C. media market.
Former Democratic Congressman Jim Moran, who represented a neighboring Virginia district for years, says that most Democratic voters in the district will be focused on one issue: Who can beat Barbara Comstock?
All six of the candidates particularly the four that are breaking from the pack because they have more money share virtually the same policy positions, he said. So the real issue is, who do we send in to battle?
The front-runner at this point seems to be Virginia State Sen. Jennifer Wexton. Shes the only elected official on the Democratic ballot, and she has won endorsements from the Washington Post and Gov. Ralph Northam.
