Trump to leave North Korea summit Tuesday instead of Wednesday

As Mike Pompeo lowers expectations, Trump's expected Wednesday departure has been moved to Tuesday night. What's going on?

The Associated Press reports Trump was originally scheduled to depart early Wednesday morning, however he will now leave Tuesday night after a day of meetings with Kim and other leaders of North Korea.

Trump is portraying this as "Talks are moving quicker than expected", without saying if any deal has been reached.

I think Trump got played. Kim will get his photo op.

Trump just wants to get out of that "shithole" country as soon as possible. He's going to have a very, very serious case of jet lag from that trip, I predict.

N.B. This "historic" meeting of what Fox news calls "two dictators" will take place during the Dark of the Moon, and Dirty Donny* will depart during the Dark of the Moon. Some super strange shit going down. Mostly not visible to the public.

Belly Flop # 1: The Canadian G-6+1 Summit.

Belly Flop # 2: The North Korean Summit.

Of course they have already blamed Justin Trudeau for these trDump failures.

You stay, you make joint communiques, you do photo ops shaking hands, you announce successful elements of negotiations, you make as much hay as can be produced. That both "leaders" are leaving early says all we need to know. Maybe both have appointments for haircuts and had to get back to their barbers?

In the corporate hierarchy, status is often displayed by "who has to wait for whom." Making people wait proclaims self-importance. You know, camp out in the anteroom while I sharpen my pencils.

Leaving early is a weak stab at demonstrating control, saying "You don't control me, I'll stay as long as I think it matters to me. You may not be done, but I am."

All the micro-indicators are there, and have been all the while.

Godwin's Law corollary: Hitler was famously always late for his rallies and events.

pausing to be seen by everyone before entering the room, like a starlet posing for the cameras on the red carpet.

Then, of course, he left Canada before the summit was over.

Think the exact opposite, and that's probably closer to the truth then will ever come out of his mouth. Kim already has won, and trump has lost, but it'll be another PR event where he'll claim the opposite, or start threatening again. He'll say he's saving the world no matter what happens, all lies from him, and again the opposite.
