The upcoming giant of Bayer-Monsanto is apparently preparing to bring some new drugs onto the market shortly. The trouble is, they are short of volunteers for testing them for unwanted side effects. They need to get the bugs out before bringing their new drugs to market. Safety first, after all.
Jeff Sessions and the Trump Administration have nobly agreed to step in and provide Bayer-Monsanto with some young "willing" volunteers.
They are at this moment reassuring the frantic parents that they will be re-united with whatever is left as soon as testing is completed. Bayer-Monsanto assured the parents that this was already tried about 75 years ago in Germany, and it led to many interesting medical advances.

(54,399 posts)What the Trumpadors come up with is often so far beyond what satire usually comes up with, nothing made up as satire is obvious any more, and nothing they do is too outlandish to be discounted as inconceivable.

(35,317 posts)If you take offense at something strongly, you won't see the satire. You'll assume the maximum ill will, which is to say, that the accusations are intended seriously.
If you loathe something, you won't notice that what's said against it is satire. Your ill will would already think the worst about the person or thing, and if somebody comes up with something even worse you just reset your calibration so that the new worst thing is what you think.
Satire died under Obama. It died under Bush II. It's frequently resurrected, it seems, just so that we can declare it again deceased.
