I'm listening lately Billie Holiday's must-hear song "Strange Fruit"

I am not posting it as a musical appreciation, but rather because it is sadly topical, at least figuratively, which I hope will remain so.

Trump has literally signed to his voters a blank check and full marks, with the republicans' blessing.

You certainly know much better than I do the history and impact of this song, so powerful, so brilliantly interpreted by Billie Holiday.

A sublime, poignant song, whose title would have been so much desired to be that of a fruit gone forever...
