James Comey owes a big apology to Hillary Clinton and the 65 million Americans who voted for her

He owes an apology to Canada.

He owes an apology to the children who were torn from their parents arms and are now being treated like prisoners.

He owes an apology to the women who are victims of domestic violence and who can no longer apply for asylum. Same thing for victims of gang violence.

He owes an apology to those who will lose their health coverage due to pre-existing conditions.

I could go on, and on, and on and on and on and on and on.....

And it came out a couple of days ago that Comey actually found out about the allegedly "new" emails on Weiner's laptop in September of 2016 not late October.

I don't know about anyone else but I don't believe for a second that Comey sat on that info for a whole month without having that laptop examined. Are we supposed to be that stupid that we believe he didn't have those emails checked?

IMO he found out way before his Oct. 28, 2016 letter to Chaffetz that the emails on the laptop were duplicates and he bided his time until late October to spring this info on the country so it would have maximum impact on the election.

Remember how quickly after the resumption of the investigation it was found they were duplicates? That means even if he did find out on Oct. 28 he still could've had the laptop examined, found the emails were duplicates in a few days and kept his fucking mouth shut about the so-call "new" emails.

No, he planned the news of the resumed investigation purposely to tilt the election to trump, all the while remaining silent about the concurrent investigation of trump's campaign.

Comey deserves to be in jail for palying ahuge part in installing the worst president we've ever had. And we thought
w was bad.

comparison.

James Comey violated FBI norms when he chose to discuss publicly an investigation related to a political candidate just 11 days before an election. He broke protocol. His actions were deemed "extraordinary and insubordinate" and he for deviated from FBI and department norms.

When Hillary up her email server it was a common practice. Condolezza Rice, James Powell, and others did it.

So Comey thought his reasons were good. Of course he did. His good reason was to push trump over the finish line. It's hard to come to a different conclusion when the man had been sitting on the information for least since September, but waited so he could drop a bombshell in October, a real October surprise.

Your comparison doesn't hold water. Apples and oranges.

Source: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2016/mar/09/hillary-clinton/hillary-clinton-said-my-predecessors-did-same-thin/

There’s a couple problems with Clinton’s talking point that her State Department predecessors used email practices similar to hers.

First of all, there’s the fact that most of Clinton’s predecessors did not regularly use email. Just four former secretaries of state have held the job during the prominence of electronic communications: Clinton, Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell and Madeleine Albright.

According to MSNBC, an aide for Albright said she "did not use email while she was in office" from 1997 to 2001. And Rice, head of the State Department from 2005-09, was not a habitual emailer either, according to multiple reports.

So that leaves Powell, a regular email user, as Clinton’s only predecessor who serves as a useful comparison. When we reached out to the Clinton campaign, they pointed us to Powell.

Like Clinton, Powell used a personal email address. However, there’s a big difference: Clinton hosted her email on a private server located in her home. Powell did not.

As for Comey's apology, I do not believe the conclusion that there was no anti-Democrat motivation. That would make Mr. "I'm not sure/It could be that/I don't remember/I believe/It's possible that" the stupidest FBI director in history by far. Far too stupid to keep careful notes about why he was taking each step.

So much more secure than the server in the home of a former President, natch. The proof is in the pudding - Clinton's server wasn't hacked, while pretty much everyone else's was. Colin Powell's emails? Who seriously believes they weren't read by foreign powers, both friendly and not?

personal email to conduct FBI business,

In other words, it was pretty common practice in high gov. circles to do just what Comey and Rice, and Powell and Clinton did—find a workaround for the clunky, slow and highly vulnerable-to-hacking government email system.

Comey did it his fucking self and publicly chastised Clinton in July 2016 for it, then purposely trashed her campaign in late Oct. 2016
for something he himself had done.

Guess he didn't think that would ever come out, or the fact that he found out about the alleged "new" emails on Weiner's laptop in September 2016 and sat on the info until late Oct.

And why would he sit on that info for a month? People are not stupid, and neither are you. He did it to swing the election to trump.

That sanctimonious-acting, but really partisan hack ass belongs in jail for helping to install the lying disaster we have in the WH now.

i found it well written and interesting... until he got to the part about the late election reveal about the emails on Weiner's notebook.

Then his constant argument that he, and FBI, were apolitical, wore a bit thin. It was a very unusual election, what with the Russian hacking and Trump's bald faced constant lying. I get that Comey thought he was doing the right thing; I just think he could delayed his announcement until after the election. He says he was trying to get ahead of the leaks he feared would happen anyway. I say he should have waited until they happened and withheld comment. That simple. As it happened, his last two announcements about the email investigation cancelled each other out; but the timing was devastating to Clinton's campaign. I am reminded of the truism: discretion is the better part of valor. If Comey had been more discreet, it might have eventually reflected poorly on himself and the FBI, but it would have better safeguarded our electoral process and our democracy, and those should take precedence over any government agency or individual.
