be the counselor and advocate for women and mothers she SAID she was going to be.

Instead she (Ivanka) posts a photo showing her holding HER child ignoring that other women are getting THEIR babies ripped from their arms.

I think Mika was close to tears. The entire panel is outraged, especially Donny Deutsch!

I've been crying on and off all night about these children. I've been listening to the news while preparing a lecture (have to do this at night when everyone else is asleep), and I have been weeping as I work. Mika said a lot of things that needed to be said. Barbara Boxer on the repeat of Chris Hayes earlier made me cry, too. I am livid, so angry! This cannot stand. I do not know what to do. I feel so helpless. My Senators are DiFi and Kamala Harris, so I know they are on this. That helps some. I have screamed at the television and wept for hours. I will try to sleep a bit now.

them at the time of separation, telling them it would be just briefly and the children would be back, so the mothers never got a chance to explain to their children what was happening and that everything would be okay.

That they were unable to first comfort and reassure their children is in itself causing great, ongoing anguish -- to the parents alone. "Mothers couldn't stop crying."

I'm trying not to cry as I type, but far better to be angry at the breathtaking, depraved level of callousness that this requires.

And forget Trump for a moment. WHY are the employees doing this not refusing? What kind of people are these? "I was just following orders"?

Concentration Camp prisoners when they said that they were going to take a shower. Instead of gassing the children they are ripping them away from their parents.

If the US could be involved in conducting the Nuremberg Trail I see no reason why other countries couldn't charge US officials in a more current version of them based upon the behavior of Trump, his family, minions, a complicit Republican controlled Congress and judges.

US judges need to remember that German judges were not safe from being criminally charged during the Nuremberg Trials.

Which is why I point to the employees. Without them, it could not have happened there. Without them, it could not happen here.

As for international trials, gotta say I really can't imagine that happening. We'll be condemned, and I hope severely, and hopefully a few people will eventually be unable to travel to some other nations without risk of being arrested. (Although I'd prefer it be because they were in prison.) But until we start murdering people -- and we're very, very far from that -- that's all.

My husband's Jewish, and I once read intensively about the Holocaust. To conflate this with the death camps in eastern Europe would be to diminish that massive genocide to what Japanese Americans suffered through our WWII internment and theft of their property. These places are concentration camps, though, and we are right to worry about the wellbeing of children cared for by the kind of people who will follow bad, highly immoral orders from bad leaders.

and concentrate on what we are and have that is very good, that as Americans we are too decent and civilized to ever let it ever go that way.

Focusing on what is bad would be a dreadful mistake that would take us farther down that path. We need to be sure and proud of what is good in us, not just what is weak and evil and cowardly, and join with others to protect it. And certainly we'll never have a stronger common interest than protecting children from the vicious fascistic authoritarianism that has been suddenly empowered here.

followers and Rethugs.

Hitler didn't kill over 6 million people over night. He started the same way that Trump is starting. All you have to do is look at the history of Nazi Germany to see where the US is heading with the US being part of a new Axis of Evil.

If you look at the reaction of the Trump crowd they have no problem with what the Trump Administration is doing to these children. Many think that Trump isn't going far enough. Instead of death camps for Jews it may be death camps for anyone who is not white or who refused to kowtow to them.

It comes down to the fear by the Conservative white people of heading towards a minority status. They will do anything to prevent that, including trying to make abortions illegal and more difficult for women to obtain birth control. They don't think that white women are having enough babies.
