Most are not in any position of power or influence and are left only with the desperate hope that SOMEONE somewhere who has power will do SOMETHING to save them from what they see as a vague looming disaster. They see Trump for what he is: an evil and incompetent dictator wannabe and they see the GOP Congress as complicit.

And, some are beginning to ask what, besides talking, the Democrats are DOING about it.

Not "planning to do"; not "considering"---"DOING".
