Revoking Manafort's Bail Has Some Interesting Implications.....

one being that it triggers the 6th Amendment "right to a speedy trial". Unless he waives that right, things will proceed at a rapid pace from here on in. That means he's closer to a conviction, which means he's closer to a long prison sentence, which means that he's working on "time served" right now. (a couple of months credit on a 20 year sentence). He won't be held in "white collar" prison pending trial either. He's going into a Federal Detention Facility where he'll have the chance to meet all sorts of new and interesting people. (Paul, I want you to go over and sit on the Group W bench) I'd say Mueller just ratcheted up the pressure a few notches with the superseding indictment and pre-trial incarceration. Manafort would need to be a truly innocent man not to flip-and I don't think that's the case.

1. He's Always Had His Speedy Trial Rights.........

...........but going to jail now means that his speedy trial "clock" has sped up. People in jail generally get three-for-one days (meaning one day in jail counts as three days out of jail). So, for example, if you have to be brought to trial within 90 days, a person in jail must be brought to trial within 30 days.

Plus, he can very easily waive his speedy trial rights (but that would normally only happen if his attorney(s) need more time to prepare his defense).

The most important thing is that his time spent behind bars is going to make him seriously rethink his decision not to flip. I would think that if Mueller approached him with a deal that could get him out on house arrest or some other concession, he might jump at it. Being locked up ain't fun, even in the BEST of circumstances. He'd have to hold some serious allegiance to Trump to go through the ordeal of being locked up and STILL not betraying him, and considering the fact that he betrayed his own country for money, I don't think he's that loyal.

Things, like selling out our country's foreign policy, working with foreign powers to affect the outcomes of elections, psyops being used on the public to influence voters, they will get cleaned up

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/ny-news-rudy-muller-pardons-trump-manafort-20180615-story.html

In one of his most forceful attacks on the special counsel yet, Rudy Giuliani on Friday claimed the Russia investigation could get “cleaned up” with pardons from President Trump in light Paul Manafort being sent to jail.

“When the whole thing is over, things might get cleaned up with some presidential pardons,” the former New York mayor told the Daily News.

Giuliani’s stunning remark came hours after a Washington, D.C., judge revoked Manafort’s bail and ordered him to remain behind bars while awaiting his September trial. The ruling came after Robert Mueller’s investigators alleged Manafort had attempted to tamper with witnesses in the Russia investigation.
