Reminder: A Presidential Pardon cannot be used to avoid Contempt of Court

Contempt is not a crime, it is disobedience to the court and a judge can lock you up indefinitely for as long as you don’t comply with the court. If Trump pardons Manafort and/or Cohen, they can be compelled to testify and Trump can do nothing about it and they cannot plead the 5th.
