I speak only for regular people. Don't know about the wealthy.
Regular people do not lose their bail. Judges readjust bail conditions frequency for "average people".

Bail is set primarily for the purpose of securing the attendance of the defendant. Manafort hasn't run off. He has, however, by violating the conditions of his release, lost the deal he had.

Not under these circumstances. If he skipped town to go hide in the Ukraine then yes. His right to bail pending trial was revoked. No need to secure his appearance with that property any longer. The federal government is now insuring that he will appear as necessary.
