We are under the greatest attack since Pearl Harbor and 9/11

And this time, the enemy is Donald Trump and the GOP.

Yet, here we are, bitching, posting, staging marches and "die ins," and discarding friends (and even family members), who have joined the "Trump cult."

Children, CHILDREN, are being kidnapped at the border by Trump and Jefferson Beauregard Sessions. And then, good ol'e white-sheet-wearing, hooded Beauregard, along with Sarah Huckabee Sanders throw bible quotes at us?? I feel I have to spell out one of the oldest online abbreviations? WHAT THE FUCK?

America is not just under attack. IT's BEEN OCCUPIED. And it's been occupied by pure, 100% undiluted evil. The enemy has penetrated the gates, their "leader" is a madman, and most of their voters are brain dead.

Most of us are counting on righting this in the upcoming election by taking over the House of Representatives. I certainly hope this will happen. And I certainly hope it will be sufficient.

BUT, we'll still have a madman in the White House who believes he can do whatever he wants to do. And we still have the online Russian hackers helping him and the Republicans.

I never thought I'd have to say this, but, even if we somehow happen to win this year's congressional elections, then what??? What are we going to do about the orange menace, his party, his voters, and the hell they've unleashed on America?

1. Reign them in. Run investigations from every single committee and subcomittee in Congress.

Drown them in truckloads of subpoenas. Force them to hire every crooked and crazy 'lawyer' in the country. Make them spend every last NRA Rouble defending themselves.

4. Trump has been appointing wingnut federal judges

It may be that he's appointed enough throughout the various districts, that even the courts will be useless in helping to fend off this attack on America and everything we're supposed to be.

3. We are well along the path to losing it all

We're in the process of losing everything from health care, to immigration, to voting rights, to civil rights, to the First Amendment, to just plain human decency, and everything else you view America to stand for. Elected Republicans, and their mindless, ignorant, cruel, (sadistic?), "leader" have dragged us here.

Can we put an end to it?

Perhaps.

But my biggest fear is that it will end up like the last line in T.S. Eliot's poem, The Hollow Men: "This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang but a whimper."
