The patriotic American commercial I want to see:

fade in to a laughing, engaged family eating dinner, then "These people pay their fair share of taxes",

fade out and back in to a bustling small business on Main St., then "So does this business",

fade out and back in to the regional power plant, then "This corporation does too",

fade out to black for a second or so, fade in to a frown-faced tRump, staring at the camera with his arms folded, while behind Resolute, then "This man does not",

fade out to black, and the on-screen script says "Why not?" fade slowly to back.

This commercial might take 15-20 seconds and repeated often enough, who knows?

Sadly, I doubt we'll see something this effective from the DNCCC, at least for the time being. Rethugs are so much better at this than we are, frankly.

(prove me wrong, DNCCC!!)

I think it would catch everyone's eye, whether they were interested in politics or not.

The Trump Foundation was serving as Donald Trump's personal piggy bank, covering for example the settlement with his richie-rich neighbors over his oversized flagpole (unofficial nickname: The Compensator). While I'm sure it's nice that that $100,000 demand went away, IRS regs require that Trump declare that money as personal income, since he didn't have to pay it out.

Did he declare the income and pay taxes on it, or did he stiff his fellow Americans?

past tax returns, because of the Trump Foundation thing, it might show what most people expect: monkey business, with respect to taxes, his whole life.

Yeah, I'm assuming a lot, but if anything ever came to light either in Foundation or Org., that commercial scenario might be fun.

And while were at, co-opt some of the right's memes too. "Freedom isn't Free" comes to mind.
