Per a report on NPR this morning: employees at some of the privately owned child prisons stated they were instructed they were not allowed to even touch or comfort a crying toddler. A spokesperson for the company said that wasn't true. But a reporter witnessed it.

A child development expert then talked about the developmental damage such callous behavior can do to children.

I thought there was an illegal immigrant who was being detained and had to fight to have an abortion? If so why did they fight it. She was going to be detained for sometime still and would not be able to care for her child. They would have taken it away if she had had it. What did they want? To sell the child? Just have a little human to abuse? WTF.
