Keep watching thread.
Im in McAllen, Texas.
About to go inside the epicenter of family separations: the Border Patrols Central Processing Center Ursula.
The most family separations are happening here and Border Patrol is going to show us around.
No cameras allowed inside. Stay tuned.
Trumps family separation policy draws Democrats to the border. Story from McAllen, Texas, ahead of a visit by Sens. Merkley and Van Hollen and several House Dems this afternoon.

(5,191 posts)bed wetting, crying, little ones in need of comfort, fear/acting out. No - these centers are chaos. and personnel at a loss as to what to do - so they'll default to meanness and threats - just to keep control. There'll be predators - they will know where unprotected/scared children are.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
