(34,661 posts)Lawyers tried to do in Germany when the first round ups started. History is in full view my friends, least we forget.
Watch the local Court System's and how these cases progress. My hunch is,foot dragging will be the deal of the day.

(13,133 posts)Our Local just got done fighting for our new five-year contract. We only conceded on attendance policy but kept everything else (we stuck together). The problem is Congress has got their eyes on the western regional funds to bail out the now bankrupt midwest. That will happen if the republicans win in November.
It's not just what you see up front, but more importantly what they are doing behind the scenes. The dog and pony in the corporate media are just to keep ordinary people occupied with un-ordinary things while they steal them blind.

(34,661 posts)Proud to say,I was one of the Lucky Members who was involved on the Local scene to draft the 1976 Master Freight Agreement. fully understand that we are in a new era. Central States was the Power House and we were the first to be clobbered by Nixon Economic policies.
This new twist has been in the works for quite some time. Why does one wonder why the big push for Right to Work legislation . We Teamsters have been the target since the seventies because of a hand full of corrupt people.
And this pitting the Western Conference Members against the Central States Brothers and Sisters seems to be coming from Wall Street. After all, they were the ones who forced us to invest in low yield Bonds and Treasuries. Inflation killed us big time. And it was the Wall Street Boys who wrote the rules when we went under DOJ supervision and Wall Street loved it,dump the shit on the Pension plan at the Teamsters.

(18,640 posts)This has nothing to do with his client and seems to me a change in his use of public celebrity.
He has certainly proven himself a tireless entity for a cause. He'd probably be a great congressman or senator as he sure knows how to campaign and get his message out.

His TV show should pay well though.
As for running for office, I wonder where his actually residence is located? Since exes not licensed in NY, I'm guessing NOT there. Probably CA?

(194 posts)to refute the blatant lies of Trump and his staff. Chris Matthews tonight heaped praise on White House reporter Welker when what she merely did was tell us that "This is a difficult argument for the Trump administration to make," and 'Trump never backs down from a fight". Not exactly a profile in journalistic courage there from Welker, but they're all more worried about missing out on leaks from the White House staffers than speaking truth to power as Michael Avenatti does in every public statement he makes.
Btw, conservative Jennifer Rubin unleashed harsh criticism of Trump to Matthews tonight, but she was given 1/3 of the time that Welker was allowed just to speak weasel-words, and Rubin received zero praise from Matthews.

(11,885 posts)And thanks to him for doing whats right, again. trump claims the Dems are the reason for this when he and the gop control the majority in both the House and the Senate. trump also claims he hates this happening when he and the gop cut children's food programs, cut their health care, let thousands of children suffer or die in Puerto Rico , and is destroying the EPA which will increase their cancer rates in their future, and says its others hurting children , not him . Don't listen to what he says, just look at what he's doing. Again thank You Mr Avenatti for doing this to help these families.
