What would Cronkite have done? Hard to say, since he didn't have any presidents like Trump to deal with. Also, he only had a half-hour every evening to address the day's news and didn't have to fill up a 24-hour cable news cycle.

I would run a loop of Trump all day long, and every time he lied, I would pause the tape and flash "Lie #xxx fo xx/yy/zz".

Hell, make it a game show and offer people a chance to call in and bid on the number for new lies each day or 24 hours.

Given the fact that Trump literally cannot go 15 minutes without an out and out lie passing his lips or slipping onto his I-phone through those tiny pudgy thumbs, it won't take long to build up a library of them.

The other thing that should be done is IF any mouth piece for Trump were interviewed and lied in his defense, they should be tarred and feathered and thrown in the stocks in Manhattan outside of network HQs.

daily craziness is the news. It's what we have have to deal with now and there's no way to ignore it or pretend that it isn't happening. So ferchrissakes, just turn off the TV, or find the sort of news that fits your limitations.
