Are there few or many? Any chance that they will force Trump into removing this policy or pass legislation to end this situation?
Day-by-day - this situation eats away at the Repug Party. The MSM is keeping up the pressure on Trump and the Repugs. It seems like somethings/somebody got to give. If this continues to dominate the news - it will sink the Repugs in Nov. They're beginning to realize that and I'm assuming that more and more Repugs will come out against this policy.
The Dems need to force the Repugs into a situation where the Repugs wind up owning this inhumanity to man. The Dems also need to go big time on the offensive on this situation. They need to appeal to all Dems and any sane Repug or Independent voter to GOTV in Nov and TABA (Take America Back Again)

And that would be only reason that soulless snake would pretend that he gives a shit.

(25,242 posts)They are worried about keeping their jobs after Nov. If this pressure keeps building on this family separation issue - they will realize it will seriously stunt their chances of retaining their power base and jobs. It will be telling as we get the report on this meeting Trump will have with the Repugs on Capitol Hill later in the day. Will they continue to throw their support to him and join him in doubling down - or - will they sit on him to end this so it doesn't hurt their chances in Nov?

In the Senate, all Democrats have signed onto a bill sponsored by California Sen. Dianne Feinstein that would prohibit family separations within 100 miles of the U.S. border except special circumstances, such as abuse or neglect of the children.
That measure has no support from Republicans. But two high-profile border-state GOP lawmakers have launched separate legislative efforts to end what has become a public-relations disaster for the GOP.

"The idea that Congress is going to pass immigration legislation during an election year is ridiculous," said Frank Sharry, the executive director of immigration advocacy organization Americas Voice. "There is going to be an ongoing immigration crisis unless President Trump picks up the phone.
Once again Congress is gridlocked & nothing will be done.
