ctor and activist Peter Fonda called on his Twitter followers early Wednesday morning to engage in mass protests targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in their communities.

In a tweet, the "Easy Rider" star -- and younger brother of legendary actress and political activist Jane Fonda -- urged protesters to surround ICE agents while they pick up their children from school, in order to pressure them over the administration's practice of separating migrant families detained at the border.


"Wanna stop this fucking monster? Really wanna stop this giant asshole?" Fonda asked. "90 MILLION PEOPLE IN THE STREETS ON THE SAME WEEKEND! THESE REPUBLICAN ASSHOLES ARE ALL IN ON IT! THE CHIEF ASSHOLE IS HAPPY WE ARE ALL VERY UPSET. WE HAVE TO GET EVEN MORE ANGRY WITH THESE REPUBLICANS."

"WE SHOULD HACK THIS SYSTEM, GET THE ADDRESSES OF THE ICE AGENTS CBP AGENTS AND SURROUND THEIR HOMES IN PROTEST. WE SHOULD FIND OUT WHAT SCHOOLS THEIR CHILDREN GO TO AND SURROUND THE SCHOOLS IN PROTEST. THESE AGENTS ARE DOING THIS CUZ THEY WANT TO DO IT. THEY LIKE DOING THIS. FUCK," he added in a second tweet.


A third tweet from the actor, posted several minutes later, called for activists to target President Trump's youngest son Barron, who attends a school in nearby Montgomery County, Maryland, claiming (apparently for effect) that activists should "rip" him from the first lady's arms and put in "in a cage with pedophiles."

Dozens of Democrats and Republicans in Congress have raised alarms over the Trump administration's zero-tolerance immigration policy, which has led to thousands of children being forcibly separated from their parents who are prosecuted for illegal entry.

Statistics from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) estimate that at least 2,000 children were separated from their parents due to the policy in a six-week period from April to May.

Fonda goes way too far with that. It's great that he's on board with this issue (who could not be...other than the obvious???), but over-the-top ranting like that does more harm than good.

Imagine a situation where the shoe was on the other foot, and it was Ted Nugent doing the screaming. He is certainly more than capable of it, and we would condemn him like there was no tomorrow.

and knowing Peter Fonda through interviews over the years, he would never mean that literally. It's to give a visual to the Trumps of what it might be like.
