funny how the media just can't seem to quit donnie.

funny how the media can destroy the career of a democrat so easily.

sometimes in the blink of an eye.

one odd-sounding scream and boom, career over.

sometimes it takes a bit more work. dukakis they laughed at because his helmet looked funny, then tore him to pieces for not displaying a certain emotion they were looking for in response to a death penalty question. but they hammered away and eventually it worked.

with al gore, they had to invent lies and put them in his mouth, but eventually that worked, too. close call, but it worked.

hillary, hell, hillary they made a cottage industry out of destroying. most investigated person ever and they found nothing, but it was enough to steal the election from her.

but donnie, gee, somehow, they can't bring themselves to ever say that his career is over. there's no gaffe that even comes close to being a fatal gaffe. hell, there *is* no gaffe! for all the idiotic statements donnie has made, they don't even call anything he ever does a "gaffe". they never use the phrases they always use for democrats.

how can we trust him after this?
how can we take him seriously after that?
can his career survive this?
are we seeing the end of his time in the political realm?
how can he govern effectively with such low support?

no, they never say anything like this. the topic of impeachment occasionally comes up but is immediately batted down. mueller comes up invariably they point out that the president is unlikely to be indicted, and it returns to the impeachment question, again batted down.

donnie has the highest sustained "strongly oppose" numbers of any president ever. the majority didn't vote for him and the majority is *pissed* at him.

yet instead of the press asking how he can govern, they're asking if he's going to become a dictator.

interesting how the media, which seems to easily have the power to destroy democrats, is somehow impotent when it comes to damaging donnie's political fortunes -- despite donnie best efforts.

if the media all said "this is it, this is the final straw, he can't be taken seriously as president, he has to go", and kept it up for a week, then donnie would quickly be forced to resign.

but they don't.

and make no mistake, there's no way in hell they'd be standing by a democratic president at this stage they had done a fraction of what donnie has done.

gee, i wonder why.

quit the media. Particularly the Breathless 24/7 Cable Infotainment.

We would all be better off without it.

when viewership drops off. If they are talking and fewer are listening perhaps there is hope. In any event one's blood pressure is much better.

sub headline reads, [trump tweets], 'Send back illegal immigrants immediately'

why couldn't this msm, allegedly liberal newspaper read:

"Send back illegal immigrants illegally', or

" Send back allegedly illegal immigrants illegally'

Why not?

6. This is one of the reasons why I think the DNC needs to try something new.

The infotainment industry is about ratings first and foremost. It promotes false equivalencies and seems to, out of some twisted sense of what constitutes fairness, be reluctant to label lies as lies.

Meanwhile, Russia, voter suppression and the very high re-election rate of incumbents is enough to cause worry ahead of the most important election of my lifetime...in spite of encouraging Democratic victories over the last year.

So, I suggest that the DNC hire a smart, charismatic person to hold a press conference every single day at the same time for the sole purpose of addressing the lies and misleading statements made by the Trump Administration over the previous 24 hours. It's not enough to rely on the occasional press conference on the Capitol steps, or on TV pundits and their anti-Trump guests. The DNC needs to do something more radical in response to this Orwellian Trump Administration. The lies are so numerous and so dangerous. Addressing them is a full-time job. A daily press conference could draw the interest of some who are rather apathetic/apolitical or inexplicably "undecided" (i.e., swing voters).
