There are five parts because it was a TV series. What a terrific and very sad story it told. I almost felt like the actors knew they were in a very important TV series and wanted to be so perfect in their roles.
If you haven't seen it, go on youtube and get it. It is important because it taught an important lesson.

(19,445 posts)I saw it when it was first on. My grandma felt it was important for us to watch.
I was twelve, my brothers 10 and 8. She made sure we all watched and then talked about it.
I miss my grandma.

(20,315 posts)During its original run. I was a very mature 7-8 who already had a WW2 obsession. I remember watching it with my mom and her taking the time to explain the holocaust along the way. Not sure how exposing a 7-year-old to something like that would fly today. it was a different time.
