How dare he encourage such incivility!?

I'm sure the civility police will be along any minute now to wag their fingers.

This is a man who didn't respond in kind when his skull was fractured. He didn't lower himself to their level. Trying to claim this as evidence of supporting treating Republicans how they treat others shows an alarming lack of history.

...I thought it would be obvious that I was mocking the fools in the centrist media (and in our own party) who chastized Maxine Waters for a very innocuous statement merely telling people to stand up for themselves.

And your post was fine - and I 100% agree with you. The Tone Police and Grammar Marshalls are out today and it looks like you got 'stopped' by one.

And you didn't need the in your post at all. It was clear as day. You are with 'Aunt Maxine'.

Did our ancestors do that in 1775? In 1861? In 1941? In 1963? Those were all horrible, scary times. Yet our nation survived and each time, ended up as a better place.

We are better than this.

If I didn't have kids to support I'd probably be making plans to exit this mortal existence, but that's not an option for me.

Like I said, people can do whatever they want. If it makes you feel better to keep believing that this can change, then go for it. Maybe you're right and I'm wrong.
