First, Trump doesn't understand his job to any level of depth.

Second, the purpose of a good conversation with Trump is to tell him what he wants to hear.

Then again, if he thinks he has secured a vote for his SCOTUS nominee, he could smile and nod and act engaged when all he's really thinking about is getting back to his living quarters and chowing down on his nightly Quarter Pounders with Cheese, fries, and apple pies.

My embarrassment is that I am forced to vote for weak candidates. My embarrassment is that an Indiana Democrat, representing me, seems likely to side with Republican traitors.
