Police called on 12-year-old mowing grass which ends up getting him more business

A boy in Maple Heights is running his own business this summer cutting lawns and cleaning up yards.

Reginald Fields, 12, is the owner of Mr. Reggie's Lawn Cutting Service. With several helping hands from his cousins, brothers and sisters, they are up with the sun every day working the neighborhood.

That's what they were doing when someone called Maple Heights police on them.

"They said I was cutting their grass. I didn't know it!" Reggie said.

Talk about entrepreneurship spirit!

I hope the person who called the police is publicly humiliated.

Perhaps others his age will take notice. Most of the kids in my neighborhood won't even cut their own lawns, let alone go out and start a summer business like that.

The neighbor is Linda Krakora, ..."Linda Krakora, who is white, said she had lived in the house with her husband, Randy, and their family for more than 30 years. She said that Ms. Holt-Colden and her family were the bad neighbors, and that their relationship had become so tense that she now communicates with her through the police....

The police were not called on the young boy — the police were called on the garbage I have next door,” Ms. Krakora said. “We called the police to ask the woman to have the kids stop mowing on our property because we can’t talk to her.”

When her husband called the police about the grass, it had nothing to do with race, Ms. Krakora said. “I don’t have an issue with color or I would have moved years ago,” she said.

A spokesman for the police in Maple Heights confirmed that officers responded to Ms. Holt-Colden’s home but said that no action was taken.
The article has more info.

White people, again, using police as customer service.

.

After reading articles on this, I'm not sure race was as much of a factor. It seems as though just plain craziness exists within that homeowner's family.

An in-law's had an old crone neighbor call the cops on both neighbors and anyone else in the neighborhood.

He had the cops call if she used a garden hose and water drained down his driveway and onto her sidewalk.

If there was a piece of trash, either neighbor was blamed. He couldn't cut one blade of grass on her property.
