the Queen's Protocol or whatever the term would be? I know that you are never supposed to touch the Queen, she doesn't touch you, and she's a very strict adherent of that Royal custom.

There's been a few slip-ups over the years when boorish clouts touched Her Majesty's shouler or arm and the tabloids went crazy.
