I'd been at work an hour when my sister called. Mom had less than 2 weeks in the hospice. Cancer. My sister and I were there with her. She turned 88 on July 11th.
It will be a few days before I'm back here regularly.
Services will be Friday morning.

(2,322 posts)She lived a very long life and she is no longer in pain. My Mom died of Colon Cancer 9 years ago, so I understand what you are going through. Take as long as you need to grieve-that is important!

It doesn't matter how old we are or how old she is, we are never ready to lose our mom.
