The DNC has a new CEO. Her name is Seena Nanda. This is the end result of a couple month search for a new CEO, by the current CEO, Mary Beth Cahill.
Mary Beth Cahill has worked for Barney Frank, was a campaign manager for Patrick Leahy and for John Kerry as he worked for the Democratic nomination for President, Chief of Staff to Senator Ted Kennedy, and was the Executive Director of Emily's List for five years.

Thank you Mary Beth Cahill for all of your efforts!
Seema Nanda is an Indian American and was a part of the transition team for Top Perez. She got an up close look at the DNC and a number of the changes that have recently taken place. She has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, was Chief of Staff to then-Secretary Tom Perez at the U.S. Department of Labor, she led what is now called the Office of Immigrant and Employee Rights Section in U.S. Department of Justices Civil Rights Division, and was the executive vice president and chief operating officer at The Leadership Conference.

Over the last couple of years the DNC has given me reasons to support them. Tom Perez is Doing well to this point but time will tell the whole story. I am fully behind Perez and the changes he has made.
Join Obama and the long list of other great Democrats supporting the DNC.
New leadership! New vision! New horizons!

Indian-American Woman, Seema Nanda, Appointed To Head DNC
Seema Nanda became the first Indian-American woman appointed as the CEO of the Democratic National Committee in recent history.
This position is the opportunity of a lifetime, for which I am incredibly honored and humbled, Nanda said in a press release on Friday.
Nanda will replace Jess OConnell, who resigned from the position in January after serving less than a year. Interim CEO Mary Beth Cahill will hand over day-to-day duties to Nanda this month.
People are hurting all across our country. And I believe that Democrats are offering the positive solutions so desperately needed right now ― solutions forged by the strength of our diversity, the rigor of our ideas and the decency of our values, Nanda said. I am grateful to Chairman [Tom] Perez and Mary Beth for selecting me, and I look forward to joining my new DNC colleagues in the fight for our nations values and future.

(30,481 posts)Perez has been out there touting a fifty state strategy. Seema has been a part of that.

(6,288 posts)I would suggest broadening your understanding of who & what the purpose of the DNC is.
Seema Nanda, hand picked & guided by our finest Democratic defender, Mr Tom Perez, comes with worthy creds that will serve the Party well as we move forward to salvage the damage of the RW Supremacy.
DNC has more far more credibility than you give them.
Low blow.
Support Democrats & all the moving parts . There are many.

(31,279 posts)My email box is stuffed with at least 5 emails a day whether I send money or not. I feel shamed by those emails and after awhile it gets tiresome.
I have watched Perez and find him to be engaging and engaged. I was happy that he is the DNC chair and with his organizational skills. The 50 state strategy is the only one that works and I was disappointed in Obama's pick of COS and DNC chair. I felt Howard and his work were discounted by Rahm and maybe Rahm felt threatened because Dean was so effective. But, I hope she succeeds where DWS failed and our party pulls together--soon. We have work to do.
Well, off to GOTV and register people now for the upcoming. This is my favorite part of any campaign. The look on peoples' faces when they realize they are newly empowered. Disenfranchised are my favs, especially ex-cons and first timers too. It's a real energy booster.

(6,288 posts)Btw, I simply block unwanted emails as spam.
I never have to see them.
Every campaign org does this. I recall after the Sanders campaign heist of HRC's voter data, my email was suddenly full of daily spam mail asking for donatiins. Problem is, one you answer you are bombarded worse than before.
Note: Sanders Campaign had been given no reason to contact me.
Revolution Messaging & many many like it that gathered & sold personal data on the market like a commodity was the hottest going fast money business of 2015/16 .
That's why it all was sent to block/spam & gone & I don't see it being any different until the people are given back the power of representation, where this money & media marketing can be regulated.
Thanks for your GOTV efforts.
We all do what we can.
