tRump is appointing the worst of the worst. Get fired from Faux News, come run communications for the WH. EPA head forced out, he puts in a climate denying coal exec. Supreme Court pick, it will be the most offensive on the list. So basically he is saying FUCK OFF to the majority of the population.
He sends seven traitors to Russia, he himself has announced that there will be no one else with him when he meets with Putin.
If you logically think about why he would be acting this way, you can hang your hat on that he is bat shit crazy, but the most logical conclusion is that the fix is in.
We missed it in 2016, and we are taking the same path this year.

(13,656 posts)The Republicans are backing every play Trump makes.
They hold the White House, the Senate, the House, and the Supreme Court.
We don't have any power.
I don't think people realize how serious things are getting.

(31,298 posts)We can end the gerrymandering if we win statehouses. We can expand Medicaid and strengthen the ACA.

(8,419 posts)Voting won't be enough. He and the Republicans don't seem to have any fear that they will face any repercussions via the ballot box.
Going to need to take it to the streets and liberals MUST start being very aggressive. Maxine Waters approach is correct, this civility for our side only needs to stop.
I really don't care if they get upset because they can't eat dinner in peace.
I seldom see more porous rationalization. Voting in ALL ELECTIONS IS THE SUREST AND ONLY WAY TO STOP TRUMP. Anything else is going to get people arrested and get them records that follow them for life.
Elect true democrats and stop the purist bullshit, that is how we bring about change. Don't elect republicans in sheep's clothing posing as democrats, don't vote for independents that won't carry water with us at ALL times.

(6,255 posts)there is no point in thinking about the worst until after the election. Hope can bring more people to the polls and break the apathy which is so rampant among independent voters. If we fail to win congress in the fall then it is full panic mode and the end of hope. In all honesty, it starts to feel like summer 2016 all over again. Hopeful but very insecure feeling with inescapable thought of what could happen... We are going against the odds and, yes, there is a real possibility of sustaining even more losses than in 2016 (losing more senators).
