Fake news! People are being let go by employers every day. Everything from banks to local cafes! They never count the jobs that people lose to offset the jobs added! Correct me if I am wrong?

It's a small fluctuation due to this and if it's true there are more jobs than job seekers, that number should trend back down over time.

The Lordstown, Ohio, Chevy plant near me just laid off 1200 workers. And in addition, announced plans to expand in Mexico.

Sherrod Brown wrote a scathing letter to GM CEO Mary Barra asking her what the fuck are they doing with their huge tax break money? Certainly not investing in American jobs. Part of her reply was that it is "too expensive" to re-tool the Lordstown plant. I'm afraid that place isn't going to be in operation in a couple years. (they build the Chevy Cruze).

Because there are a lot of people working summer agricultural jobs and resort type jobs.

13. I think this number is meaningless unless you break it down by sector.

Probably lots of jobs in the service industry in summer resort areas all around the country. Those aren't really jobs that you can support a family on or even support yourself on. I would like to see a more in depth study about the types of jobs that have been eliminated and become available over the last 5 years.

I work for a large corporation and I feel like over the past 5 years (or more) we have done nothing but downsize. There are purges almost every year. Not everyone gets a job that pays as well or better, a lot of them are still unemployed or underemployed and living off their savings/retirement money.
