Trivia : I just saw former DUer, " Emptywheel " ( Marcy Wheeler ) in my teevee.

Yep Wheeler has always been a go to person.

And yes DU is quite the repository of excellent folks.

A teacher I was subbing for left his computer on tompaine.com one day.
tompaine led to Kos which led to my descent into what I am today.

A friend recced DU a few years later.
