I like this.
Senator Bernie Sanders said we need to fight so he wont interfere with our elections against, and called out Trump.
This shows the disconnect between Bernie and some phony liberals such as Jill Stein and Glenn Greenwald.

(32,886 posts)She would have at the very least continued whatever maneuver Obama orchestrated that kept oil and gas at incredibly low prices. There is little that comes close to hurting Russia economically more than that.
Someday I hope whatever deal Obama put together to do that is declassified. Im dying to read about it.

Bernie blames Hillary for allowing Russian interference
The senator and his top political adviser also denied Mueller's assertion that Russian actors backed his campaign.

(7,725 posts)never thought I'd say it. I'm just over the Bernie thing. He had a ripe moment...but that moment has passed. If anybody needs another shot or redemption, it's President Hillary Clinton. We had the budget leeway for healthcare and free college...but it went away. And that leeway is now sitting in offshore accounts...where I wish the people who owned them...would swim to.

(13,197 posts)But his sentiments still hold a truth. Income inequality is paramount to our democracy. As a progressive, this is near and dear to my heart. I will fight the fight and continue... I'm a liberal at heart. A liberal at soul.

(179,847 posts)I saw the effects of Russia's actions first hand. Sanders delegates booed Congressman John Lewis on the first night of the convention. I was warned of this by the Clinton delegation whip 20 to 30 minutes before this planned stunt. Sanders was evidently asked to stop this stunt and refused. The idiots who post on JPP were very happy about his stunt https://jackpineradicals.com/boards/topic/hey-john-lewis-karmas-a-mf-aint-it/
When you had the chance to get behind a true progressive in the primaries, you pretended you had no idea who he was. Not only that, you did so in a press conference in order to show your allegiance to Hillary bring them to heel Clinton. Yep. You sold your legacy of police beatings and marches for civil rights with MLK to align yourself with the biggest corporate sellout loser candidate the dems have ever run. Why would you have done such a thing? people may wonder. Well, Im sure it has nothing to do with attaining more power in an already corrupt system that you dont seem to have a problem with now that youre a part of it. So when you take to the stage and claim that Trump isnt a legitimate president, not only are you wrong, youre also to blame for his having been elected in the first place. You and every other sellout in the party can all go fuck yourselves. And please do so in a place thats far away from any levers of power.
At the national convention, a number of sanders supporters yelled obscenities at my daughter and called her the c-word because she refused to try to get me to change my vote. These delegates were very poorly behaved at the convention in large part due to Russian efforts. .
Russia's efforts in stirring up the sanders delegates at the national convention worked

(62,536 posts)I know we have video of them booing and there are some unseemly pictures of them booing, but it would've been nice to get video of each and every POS there.
I was actually proud of the real Democrats there that day, as the Sanders supporters booed people they used patriotism to drown them out, yelling USA, USA, USA.

(6,319 posts)this is a wrong and misleading message. The message should be that trump cannot be allowed to meet with putin. Bernies campaign was deeply infiltrated by russian trolls and sponsored operatives, he never addressed that. He also was one of the only two senators to vote against russian sanctions. He never took even partial responsibility for 2016 fiasco. Bernie, here is the newsflash for you: trump has no interest in stopping putin, in fact he wants his help. trump has no interest in maintaining democracy he is trying hard to break it. By even suggesting that trump should stop putin you are misleading your supporters into belieiving that trump is innocent and its all putins fault. Bernie is becoming dangerous again. I wish that he stayed silent on this issue and focused on economic message, there are many more knowledgable people with actual foreign policy experience that can speak intelligently about treason not some dummy talk for the sheep. He should have listed to Hilary, hed learn a thing about trumputin.

(6,319 posts)without russian help, bernie would have lost primaries early in the process. Troll army, plus some of the campaign members who inflitrated made it ok to spread anti hilary propaganda, bernie supporters just multipled the message leading to a prolonged primary and deep divisions within the party. This is classic putin and bernie swallowed it.

Oh, I like Bernie just fine. I guess Im just a little pissed at all of them because surely if there is a Hair on Fire moment, Rumps actions, especially in the light of the indictments, should warrant a bit more fire breathing. I dont want to think they would allow us to go out with the proverbial whimper. I want the Bang!

(97,622 posts)SEN. BERNIE SANDERS:
We have got to focus on the bread and butter issues that mean so much to ordinary Americans.
Americans are not staying up every day worrying about Russias interference in our election. Theyre wondering how theyre going to send their kids to college. Theyre wondering how theyre going to be able to pay the rent. They are worried about whether they can afford health care. Theyre worried about the income they make-- if it is enough to put food on the table. We are the wealthiest country in the history of the world. And our job is to create an economy that works for all of us and not just the 1 percent. And those are issues that we absolutely cannot afford to lose sight of.

(110,260 posts)all media, dem polticians, instead of taking about trump putin collusion and likely treason 24/7 they are trying to make sense of it and give advise to trump. You cant make this stuff up! What will it take? At this point, even if Mueller will present a case showing proof of trump direct involvement, the media will be saying that trump got played by puing and you bet dem senators will swallow that RW talking point. Trump has excelled at playing dumb game. Michael Moore said long time ago that trump is not stupid, far from it. In fact, he knows precisely what he is doing and its been working for him like for nobody else. Literally, no one else in the world would have been able to get away with what trump has been doing for the last two years.

(37,364 posts)self-serving men on the right and left. Bernie One Note needs to just go back to Vermont. Don't care for him or his lack of vision.
NurseJackie
(42,862 posts)I totally feel the same way about self-serving bellowing politicians with a lack of vision. It's been my observation that these types (on the left and right, as you say) tend to do well in their homogeneous states or districts, which convinces them (and their followers of their infallibility) but in the end, and when it comes right down to it, they struggle in a national (or statewide) arena and fail to make the mark.
All I'm trying to say is that it's sometimes better to be big fish in a small pond and to make the most of it without trying to over-reach.
