5. It's okay. Most business people donate both directions, but

more to the people they want to help and less, more like courtesy donations, to the party they don't like, to keep the doors open and their phone calls taken. Apparently Musk donates fairly evenly but lightly. In any case, at this time Republicans are in power ("courtesy" of stupid and feckless voters and nonvoters who say they support liberal progressive government but didn't vote it), so most businesses need to keep workable relationships going.

How many times have you seen adversaries who despise each other shaking hands and smiling at each other on TV? Doesn't exactly mean they're on the same team.

Elon Musk is a corporate billionaire, which means he is on team corporate billionaire. If he thought about our needs, he wouldn't donate to the GOP, because doing so hurts us. But he doesn't care, and it serves his interest, so he does it. Same reason the rest of them do.

I wrote to him and his office often.I wanted him to explain how the ACA would work for me, a simple request, never an acknowledge or answer...
