You have been watching the most disgraceful performance by an American president ever

(5,030 posts)I am disappointed that Cooper added those unnecessary specifications which narrowed the class to those acts of disgrace which have taken place at a summit and in the presence of a Russian leader.

(5,389 posts)But it is the most disgraceful ever. He sucked up to Putin and pointed his tiny finger at every American at that news conference, blaming us for the crimes Russia committed against the United States. Enough is enough!!! #BASTA!! However you want to phrase it.

(8,200 posts)If this does not awaken the Republicans sitting in our nations capital to action I can only conclude that they are wiling accomplices to the attempted destruction of the Republic and the rule of law upon which it was founded.
It is a clear choice, party or country.

(562 posts)This isnt the Republican Party on matters of national security.
To me, the only thing that can explain the ongoing undivided loyalty to Trump is a deep subconscious fear of loss of dominant male ruled white power and privilege. Along with that is fear of minorities, other religions, immigrants, and feminism.

I defy you to conflate this with any past event.
Another instance of mainstream media diluting the egregiousness of an official act of our Commander in Chief. Wake up Anderson. Our Constitution is being annihilated as you mince words.

Whoa - I wonder if this will push some over to going for impeachment?

Please name another presidential meeting with a Russian head of state that comes anywhere close to being that disgraceful.

(2,135 posts)But Stalin got away with a lot. Still, this is a tangent response. The real issue is that Putin's operation didn't just "meddle" in the way of tossing out a lot of propaganda designed to mess with the weak-minded.
Using the weapons of the digital age, Putin declared war on the United States of America and installed his choice as the President of this country. For all intents and purposes, Trump is a foreign agent, working vigorously to undermine our democracy and subvert our elected form of government.
For a non-citizen, this is espionage. For an American citizen, this is treason.
