It has been going on for years and clearly Cohen is either compromised or an outright agent. Van den Heuvel promised an investigation of the debunked pieces but it was just a cover-up. Until it gets new leadership the Nation is either irrelevant or dangerous at this point.

I've noticed that Trump supporters do this a lot. They present two choices at extreme opposite ends and try and make it seem like they are the only two out there, and if you are for or against one then you are for or against the other. It's an intellectually dishonest trap that, unfortunately, they get away with far too often.

We can impeach Trump, impose greater sanctions on Russia, do to Russia what they're doing to us, by which I mean covertly support dissident elements in the country in an attempt to undermine Putin's regime, and still avoid war. And anyone who tells you differently is, quite simply, lying.

As for The Nation printing this drivel, it's what I've come to expect from them and one of the reasons I quit reading it over a decade ago.
