That said I’m sure Putin welcomes such developments in his evil heart. Not so much because he dreams of a physical takeover - but because he knows it does terrible damage to American standing in the world and means even if our state dept woke up and started hitting Russia on human rights he could laugh it off and point to this bullshit.
