(13,305 posts)Given their track records I'm sure they're advising that their candidates lay low and wait until their Republican opponent goes too far and sabotages their own campaign. Or that they take out ads in newspapers bragging about how they "aren't beholden to special interests" or how they are a "different kind of Democrat" or how they aren't going to raise taxes because their "research shows that people aren't interested in the Putin thing" or whatever else.
And no, this isn't bashing Democratic public figures. It's just pointing out that the people we as a party and our candidates pay large sums of money to theoretically advise our politicians on have a very poor track record and yet seem to fail upward.
