Lanny Davis says that Trump team released that story to CNN.

It was a set up -- a ratf*ckery by Giuliani. Release that story to CNN as if it came from Cohen, and then Giuliani has a big interview with Cuomo to beat up Cohen. Why?

1. To get ahead of that story, which the base won't believe anyway.

2. To work Cohen over in the media.

3. Shiny object to capture headlines.

CNN fell for it, and the story has been distorted from that moment.

the meeting (11 min.) via blocked number. Cohen still could've been present when Jr. first told Trump about the meeting. Both could be true.

Jr. told senate committee he didn't know if Trump had a blocked number. Lewendowsky stated Trump has a blocked number. I think it would be safe to say Jr. Was lying.
