And when Republicans were polled about Reagan there were a lot more Republicans - during the '80s about 36% of voters identified as GOP; now it's only about 25%, so the approval of a majority of GOPers doesn't mean the same actual number of people. In fact, Reagan's overall approval rating never went below about 44%, where Trump's is now. Reagan's numbers improved after that. Trump's won't.
