The top 3 Romney VP options are Portman and Pawlenty.

There's a story today that the Veepstakes have narrowed to Portman, Pawlenty and Ryan.

That's like saying that the Veepstakes have narrowed to Portman, Pawlenty and Lindsay Lohan.

Ryan cannot be the pick. The Romney campaign will spend the next ninety-odd days distancing themselves from the Ryan budget. (That Mitt endorsed in the primaries.)

Mitt does not intend to make the rest of the campaign about whether and to what degree Mitt plans to end medicare.

The inclusion of Ryan on the list is just a nod to the wing-nut-o-sphere.

3. I think Pawlenty is disqualified for having too much personality.

Unless Romney can find a VP pick who is more of a mannequin than him just about anyone will upstage him.

on the face of the planet, a regular Buzz Killington. He is not as prone to feet-in-mouth syndrome as Mittwit, though.

Still think it'll be VA Gov, Bob McDonnell.

think will help his campaign is Marko Rubio. Hes got the Hispanic thing going, enough conservative cred to fill the titanic and hes not an extremist tea bagger.

But watch Rmoney blow it and instead go for the Palin type pick - a nobody with questionable background

They make Palin look electable.

He has that whole credit card scandal while he was in the State House. There's the lying about his parents coming to the US. Oh and the fact that he's a douche. Charlie Crist is the reason he's our Senator now. If not for him, we may have had a chance to beat him in 2010.

He's too smart and upwardly mobile in the party...and he doesn't want to be on a losing ticket. I'm thinking that describes about 95% of the eligible Republicans. It may come down to who is willing rather than who is chosen.

13. Portman was Bush's budget director. He would be filleted over that.

Pawlenty has as much personality as lint.

Ryan wrote the draconian budget the "religious leaders" are ripping apart.

Let's rumble.
