General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI am making some new rules for the next president.
The first rule is no Twitter. The next president is not allowed to be on Twitter we don't need to know every brain fart they have at 3 in the morning while sitting on the toilet.
The next rule is the president has to be someone who has actually stepped inside of a grocery store at some point in their life.
Okay that's all I have for the moment. Those things just really really really irked me this evening. Feel free to add your own rules.

(1,944 posts)I know that when it comes to democratic candidates that none of this is really serious. We know whoever it is will be smart and kind and nice and dedicated to the job and all that. But it's still fun to toss these out there like they need to be addressed because of this current turd in the White House

They keep putting up total assholes for president. It's amazing.
Democratic Presidents in my lifetime (born 1959)
John F. Kennedy - War Hero, BA From Harvard, Served as a Member of the House of Representatives and as Senator from Massachusetts.
Lyndon Baines Johnson - War Hero, BA from Texas State, Attended Georgetown Law School (no JD) Served as a Member of the House of Representatives and as Senator from Texas, VP to Kennedy
James Earl Carter - BS from the US Naval Academy, Worked with Hyman Rickover during the initial years of US Nuclear propulsion system development, Member of the Senate of the State of Georgia, Governor of Georgia.
William Jefferson Clinton - BS from Georgetown University, Rhodes Scholar to Oxford, Juris Doctor from Yale. Attorney General of Arkansas, Governor of Arkansas.
Barack Obama - BA From Columbia University, Juris Doctor from Harvard, Editor of the Harvard Law Revue, Nobel Peace Prize winner, Senator from Illinois.
Compared to the roster of Republicans, it's clear we tend to have the smart ones.
