(17,622 posts)I can always tell something about someone's personality and sincerity by their smile (or lack thereof - you know who I'm talking about). Both of these men have the most sincere, real smile.
Still my President - President Obama. One of the best in my lifetime along with Jimmy Carter and John F. Kennedy.

(9,426 posts)that we had adults in the WH, with CLASS. Such great leaders. To go from them to what is in the WH now, well, it is disgusting. He is young enough to be tRump's son, yet is much more mature than Agent Orange. Happy Birthday, President Obama.

(72,187 posts)Back in the 80's, I knew him only as some bland dishrag of a Senator who had to bow sheepishly out of the Presidential race under accusations of plagiarism.
By 2008, I knew a lot more about him, and started to think the world of him. And having as he does Barack Obama's complete trust, I think our country (lucky Delaware) is very fortunate to have him as a public servant.

If his isn't a life well-lived, I'd like to see one.

edited to correct a gross mistake: Obama is 44, not 45. Suddenly I feel unclean for having made such an atrocious mistake.

Not to worry, it's curable once he leaves office.
