The best news

... is each one of us with a friend and a clipboard walking through the streets of America speaking up for democracy... and the Democrats!

Just Google your local Dem headquarters. Or simply commit to smiling at every tollboth and retail counter and ask your fellow Americans if they've registered to vote and do consider the joy they will experience knowing they did their part to save their country.

Is it my message, the packaging of my message, or the.... well, maybe the simple fact that everyone on DU already goes door-to-door and don't need the reminder?

I'm really quite curious why calls to action are less enthusiastically received than news items. It's not a form of apathy is it? Polling suggests that Dem turnout is rising.... but why not TRIPLE the turnout, take the House and the Senate, and start addressing deep structural problems with our democracy?

Or is DU, in the end, not really an activist's forum? Nothing wrong with the news they do provide, but I wish I understood why I can't get any interest in rallying enthusiasm for GOTV.
