Nate McMurray is the Town Supervisor of the Town of Grand Island, NY. Grand Island is an island in the Niagara River just downstream from Niagara Falls.

What a Town Supervisor is: In most of New York, the counties are divided into "towns." (Populated places are either villages or cities.) Each town has a council, and the council is led by the town supervisor. In places that don't subdivide their counties, he would be Chair of the County Commission. He seems to be liked. He is a lawyer who received the Fulbright Scholarship to study in China, and worked in Korea.
