General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsWhy are Hilary, Pelosi, Elizabeth Warren so hated?
The answer is simple. It's called the Republican Hate Machine.
Hilary is hated because Republican voters have been told for years that she is to be hated.
Nancy Pelosi is hated because the Republican Hate Machine keeps repeating that she must be hated. Why must she be hated? Because it is repeated and repeated and repeated that she must be hated.
Now that Elizabeth Warren is becoming a possible candidate for president, she too must be hated. So the Republican Hate Machine spends time telling Republican voters to hate an incredibly great woman, (who Trump calls "Pocahontas." The man's a piece of pig shit.)
If the imbeciles who buy into the hatred are asked why they hate any of those named above, they can't tell you. Actually, they won't tell you that they hate them because they are all Democrats. And Democrats, especially their leaders, and especially women, are against the racism, bigotry and ignorance spewed out by the Republican Party 24/7/365.
This is why Hilary, Pelosi and Elizabeth Warren are so hated. They are hated by the know-nothings of the world who are told to hate them. And they're told over and over and over again.
The Republican Hate Machine generates propaganda full time. We have nothing to match it except the truth. In the short run, propaganda machines work. In the long run, the haters go down.

(9,426 posts)women who are slightly dumb. Look at the Forst Laydee. She can not speak English clearly, has no personality, is just an arm trophy. She stays married to the most repulsive man who EVER resided in the WH, because it is easier than actually leaving, finding her self respect (if she ever had any) and making her own way in the world. Even with her parents living here, she still needs Orange Asshole to provide her with creature comforts, rather than gaining her independence. I wonder how her parents support their Trump Tower/Mar-A-Lago lifestyle? Is he (meaning taxpayers) supporting those Communists, too??

(58,785 posts)Right wing media are gunning for Kamala Harris also, and we should expert her to be elevated to the most-hated list after we become the majority party. She's on both the senate judiciary and intelligence committees, not yet in line for a chairmanship but a powerful media presence. And, of course, there's talk of her running for president.

The Republican men with no self esteem hate ALL women...except the ones they can convince to go to bed with them. Then, they hate that woman after the act for being so stupid.
Republican women hate women of other persuasion because they believe what their husband believes. They can't think for themselves.

(31,261 posts)Elizabeth Warren seems to be a counter-puncher. She may take a little punch to the nose, but in return, she knocks teeth out. I have no concerns with Liz v Trump.
Warren seems to be as relentless on the campaign trail as Bernie, but she has a far more polished touch.
I know that reoublicans will come after Liz Warren with the Indian blood attack. It would be cute if she has a secretly done, legally certified test showing that she has told it like it was. She does not have to do such an effort, but if she is attacked and she dropped that dime on those bastards, the result would be worth relishing for the ages.

(14,150 posts).... that women are here to be subservient to males, not to be handed any cultural powers because they are basically considered chattel slavery owned by males, ruled over by men, serve their needs only, and finally acting as walking incubators for their offspring when the act of reproduction fancies their male rulers/owners.
Women who don't stay within their assigned lanes and especially those who try to crash through the guardrails or break the glass ceiling are to be reprimanded and chastised because they violate societies long established norms.
It is all written in the buy-bull,... any good Christian knows,... just read his words in the good book of Almighty God.

That damn weird vagina that they fear and will never understand. They dont try to understand. If its not attached to a perky young blond with a squeaky voice, then its totally intolerable. The wonderful, mystical vagina has been the bane of Republican men since birth. Even Democratic men find it discombobulating, but they got enough sense to reason well, anything that can bring that much pleasure and life cant be all bad.

(4,341 posts)Republicans are fake, their rhetoric includes, family values, morals, strong on defense (macho men), strong for the economy, and in all of those they fail miserably.
They hate these women because the truth is, republicans are afraid of women, even more afraid of smart women.
If you read about Hillary's story, right after graduating and working for a while in Washington you will notice that she did not go unnoticed, republicans immediately understood they had a very strong contender in a woman, so they immediately started to work on the negative campaign against her. The only way they have been able to defeat her in anything was in 2016, and they only did that because they cheated, I am one of those convinced that the votes were hacked by the Russians to help the orange monster.
That is my take on why republicans hate women.

(29,715 posts)they are hated no just because they are told to by the republicon hate machine. They are women and women have been hated for centuries. You can't have a patriarchal society until you kill the matriarch. These women are all solid performers in their fields with incredible knowledge and wisdom and would be considered "grand dames" in other circumstances.
Now, like the burning times, women were an impediment to the wealth and power. For instance; before then, "doctors" were healers and generally women. After the burning times, only men could be doctors and "practice" medicine, thousands of people died; women especially during childbirth before men learned to wash their hands.
Property once was passed down mother to daughter; after the final purge, property and names were handed down by the father to the son and women were simply property to sell off at the most opportune time.
But I digress. They hate those women in particular because the are powerful. They hate them because they are wise; they hate them because they are more capable than the men. They are impediments to the great evil those men want to do.

(1,117 posts)Why dont they hate Marsha Blackburn?
Or Sarah Palin? Or Meghan McCain? Or Barbara Bush?
And why do they hate Harry Reid and George Soros and Al Franken?
Difference in all cases is the rightwing propaganda machine.
I live in the Midwest. I see it. The more Fox and Limbaugh, the more hate.
The hate often works better when something is already there- blacks and women and Jews are more easily hated.
But without rightwing propaganda wed have much less hate in America.

(2,596 posts)And I'm saying this as a woman myself. Sadly, it isn't just men - especially middle-aged and older white men (and some men of color as well) - who resent successful women whether they're politicians or working professionals. It no doubt is more prevalent among Baby Boomesr and older men, because they would have been raised during the era of Father Knows Best, Leave It to Beaver, mid-century attitudes about the "Man's Place" as opposed to the "Women's Place" (which preferably would be parked at home, a baby on her hip and broom in the other hand, who knows that it's "her role" to service her husband and keep her mouth shut). Ah, the good old days!
As for women resenting women who happen to be prominent, psychologically a lot of people regardless of their gender just fundamentally resent anyone who is more successful or prominent because it makes them feel smaller and more inconsequential. It's basically just a sense of aggrieved jealousy.
