A blessed & furious downpour.....
It only lasted 10 minutes, but it was still a relief
We have had no rain since June, and boy did we ever need this..

(12,232 posts)(and many of those lower temps were still above average. Barely time to clear out the overheated air from the apartment before the next wave hit. And they have been consistently longer and hotter than even how they were forecast. So much so that even one of the local weather forecasters commented on that.

(7,524 posts)It always amazes me how a country like the United States---which has petroleum pipelines stretched in every corner of the country--could not find a way to pipe in water to dry areas. When it is dry in Washington, it's often because of a downpour somewhere else.
