Instead, he had to ask the person who has the rights to the Apprentice tapes, whether one of him using it existed.

Of course he's used the word before.

Funny that he thinks Mark Burnett allegation of no tape absolves him. Mark Burnett has been paid quite generously by the Trump Inauguration funds so he is corrupted too.

Next it will be, "fake news" when it's reported that he did in fact say it.

then it will be, "that's not me" when it sounds like it might be him when it's played.

then it will be, "what I meant was...", when it's confirmed that it was him.

then it will be some sort of non-sequitur response to try and counter the public outrage.

it's sadly predictable at this point.
